FAQ

1. What documents do I have to fill in to apply for Erasmus Programme?

You need to send  the following documents to International Office:

  • Application Form
  • Registration Form
  • Learning Agreement (2 copies)

Please remember that Learning Agreement has to be signed by the representatives of your university!

Learning Agreements without signatures will not be accepted.

2. Where can I find information about courses?

If the list of courses is not available at the website, you can contact our  faculty coordinator to receive the list of courses offered.

3. Can I choose subjects form different faculties?

Yes, it is possible, but you need to receive approval of each coordinator to attend these courses.

4. How long does it take to receive Acceptance Letter?

After we receive your documents, they are sent directly to the proper faculty. It takes2-3 weeks to receive them back. The next step is issuing the Acceptance Letter. A staff member of International Office will send Acceptance Letter both with Learning Agreement to your International Office.

5. Do you provide any Introduction Days after students' arrival?

Yes. International Office organizes Introduction Days for Erasmus Students twice  a year, before the start of each semester. The students have the opportunity to visit the campus, find the basic information about courses, health insurance, legalisation of stay.etc

6. Where can I collect my Student ID?

In order to apply for Student ID you need to register in our database and send a digital photo. This information is sent to a department responsible for issuing your Student ID. You can collect them from your Dean's Office. The Dean's Office staff member will instruct you how to pay for the student ID (the cost of Student ID is around 17PLN)

7. Can I enroll on some additional courses?

Yes, our University offers the following additional courses: Polish Language course, Polish History and Culture (taught in English), foreign languages(  Italian, Spanish, German etc.) and Physical Education classes.

8. If I want to make some changes in my Learning Agreement, what do I have to do?

You can download  the document called "Changes to Learning Agreement". You need to fill it in, indicating what courses you want to modify. It needs to be accepted ( signed and stamped) by the faculty coordinator at Wroclaw University of Technology. Next, bring it  to the International Office. We will send it to your home university for acceptance.

9. I passed my exams at the end of the semester. What do I have to do next?

If you passed all exams, you can collect the grades, signatures of all teachers on Examination Chart ( ask somebody from the Dean's Office to receive one). According to the Examination Chart the faculty coordinator will prepare Transcript of Records. You need to bring your own Transcript of Records to the International Office in order to receive Confirmation Letter (which states the period of your stay at our university)

10. I want to make an appointment with the doctor or open a bank account, but I know it will be hard to me to speak in Polish? What can I do?

Many Polish people (especially the youth) know English quite good. However, if you need assistance you can ask your Polish friends or students from ESN to help you.
